is the largest voluntary sector provider of HIV and sexual health services in the UK, running services out of local centres across Great Britain. Terrence Higgins Trust is delighted to offer three limited edition fundraising prints by leading artists Anish Kapoor, Howard Hodgkin and Michael Craig-Martin.
Michael Craig-Martin, Light Bulb, 2015
Influential conceptual artist Craig-Martin was born in Dublin, Ireland in 1941. He grew up and was educated in the United States, studying Fine Art at the Yale School of Art and Architecture. He has lived and worked in Britain since 1966.
Craig-Martin explores the aesthetic and linguistic character of everyday objects. Through this depiction of the manufactured and ordinary, objects are often paired - in dialogue with one another - or scaled up to an enormous size. The works, rendered in vibrant, animated hues represent a continuation of the visual language that Craig-Martin has developed over the past 40 years. They are a means of interpreting the world as we experience it in the 21st Century.
Over the past 42 years he has had numerous exhibitions and installations in galleries and museums across the world. These include the Centre Pompidou, Paris, the Museum of Modern Art, New York, the Kunstvereins in Dusseldorf, Stuttgart, and Hanover, Germany, the Institut Valencià d'Art Modern (IVAM), Valencia and Kunsthaus Bregenz, Austria. He represented Britain in the 23rd Sao Paulo Biennal. A retrospective of his work was presented at the Whitechapel Art Gallery, London, in 1989 and a second was held at the Irish Museum of Modern Art in Dublin in 2006.
Recent solo exhibitions include Less is Still More at Krefeld Museum Haus Esters, Sculpture at Chatsworth House in association with Gagosian Gallery, Objects of Our Time at Alan Cristea Gallery and his first major museum show in Asia at the Himalayas Museum, Shanghai. Michael Craig-Martin NOW features 50 new paintings. This years' Royal Academy 'Summer Exhibition', the world’s oldest open-submission exhibition, is co-ordinated by Michael Craig-Martin.
Craig-Martin was an influential teacher at Goldsmiths College London. He was a Tate Trustee from 1989-99, was awarded a CBE in 2000 and elected an RA in 2006. He is currently a trustee of the Art Fund. He is represented in London by Gagosian Gallery and Alan Cristea Gallery.

Anish Kapoor, Untitled, 2014 SOLD OUT
Influential sculptor Kapoor was born in 1954 in Mumbai (formerly known as Bombay). He has lived in London since the early 1970s and was knighted in the Queen’s Birthday Honours in 2013. He won the coveted Turner Prize in 1991 for his work Untitled.
Kapoor’s works are commissioned the world over – from New York to New Zealand. In 2006 he installed Sky Mirror - a 23 tonne, three storey circular mirror made from polished stainless steel - outside the Rockefeller Centre. New Yorkers were dazzled by the dizzying upside-down reflection of the famous Rockefeller skyscraper and the shifting sky around it. Kapoor’s major permanent commissions include Dismemberment Site I (2003-2009) for the sculpture park, The Farm, Kaipara Bay, New Zealand.
In between major commissions he has exhibited extensively over the past 30 years. In 2009 he was the first living artist to have a solo exhibition at the Royal Academy of Arts in London. As well as participating in international group shows, Kapoor has represented Britain at the Paris Biennale in 1982 and at the Venice Biennale in 1990, where he was awarded the ‘Premio Duemila’. From 9 June to 1 November 2015, the Palace of Versailles welcomed him for a major contemporary art exhibition in the gardens.

Howard Hodgkin CH CBE, Multiplication, 2013 SOLD OUT
Hodgkin is one of Britain’s most important painters and printmakers. Born in London in 1932, he studied at the Camberwell School of Art between 1949-50, followed by the Bath Academy of Art between 1950-1954. He has served as a trustee of both the Tate Gallery and the National Gallery, London, and in 1992 he was knighted for his services to the arts. This edition was created to coincide with the THT 30th Anniversary Auction and there are still a limited number available for purchase. We are incredibly grateful to Howard, his team and everyone at King & McGaw for their generosity and hard work in producing Multiplication
Medium: Hand-pulled 16 colour silkscreen. The prints are framed to a design approved by the artist using conservation museum standards in a handmade solid oak frame 435mm x 375mm (finished size).
