New Harland Miller print ‘Blonde But Not Forgotten’ *SOLD*

Harland Miller, Blonde But Not Forgotten, 2013.   SOLD OUT
Harland Miller, Blonde But Not Forgotten, 2013.This silkscreen print is part of a series by Harland Miller in which he adopts the image of classic Penguin paperback book jackets from the 1960s; boldly graphic in style and colour-coded to denote genre. In this print the colour green signifies the Penguin genre of Mystery and Crime, and the book’s title, 'Blonde But Not Forgotten', conjures up notions of film noir fiction. The work is executed in a painterly style and the composition of the image evokes both Pop art and the colour field painting of American modernism.
