Avant Arte announced their debut collaboration with the legendary Carrie Mae Weems – a trio of signed limited edition prints based on her seminal Kitchen Table Series.
In 1990, Carrie Mae Weems took 20 black-and-white images at her kitchen table, a traditionally female space that has not been celebrated enough in art. The overhead bulb sets the stage in each photograph, where a host of intimate domestic scenes and social dynamics unfold.
Hand-selected by Carrie to depict the scope of human emotion, the trio of prints will be available to collect for just 48 hours, starting at 6PM CEST on Wednesday, 23 July at Avant Arte.
