Jeff Koons, Balloon Venus for Dom Pérignon, 2013. Over the last year, Dom Pérignon and Jeff Koons have enjoyed a unique collaboration that leads up to the unveiling of the Balloon Venus for Dom Pérignon in New York. Be it between Jeff Koons and Dom Pérignon or the Balloon Venus and Dom Pérignon Rosé Vintage 2003, Dom Pérignon proudly presents the fruits of this much anticipated creative collision.

The Balloon Venus for Dom Pérignon is an object created by Jeff Koons for Dom Pérignon that when opened, reveals a bottle of Rosé Vintage 2003. Inspired by the Venus of Willendorf, a tiny paleolithic figurine discovered in Austria and dated to around 23 000 BC, Jeff Koons’ Balloon Venus proposes a new kind of idol: a modern-day goddess of love who embraces her beholder in reflective curves.

The Balloon Venus is part of Jeff Koons’ Antiquity series that begun in 2008, playfully exploring motifs from the History of Art with his trademark creative verve. The artist adapted the Balloon Venus sculpture for Dom Pérignon, by transforming the original statue in a smaller version which preciously guards a bottle.

The Jeff Koons Balloon Venus for Dom Pérignon rosé new vintage 2003 will be available in a limited edition of a 650 +40 AP and it will retail for $20,000.
