Kippenberger, Oehlen, Förg, Kiecol — More from The Golden Kot Quartett
In 1987, the first LP by legendary artists’ jazz combo “The Golden Kot Quartett“ (featuring Günther Förg, sax; Hubert Kiecol, bass; Martin Kippenberger, drums; Albert Oehlen, piano) came out. This had been the only recording released to date. Last year, Brigade Commerz was given unpublished material from the Cologne quartet’s band archive by Swedish composer, musician, and artist Sven-Ake Johansson: a rarity that has now been published in our picture vinyl series. As always, the package is made up of a combination of graphic edition and sound. For the graphic part, the estate of Martin Kippenberger provided Brigade Commerz with “1979 im August“ (“1979 in August”): Kippenberger, ears in vinyl, listening to imaginary sounds.
Medium: 12‘‘ picture vinyl in a transparent plastic bag and a maxi sleeve
Edition of 60
With 10 copies signed by surviving band members Albert Oehlen and Hubert Kiecol
Price: 120 / 300 € (for a signed copy)
