Joseph Kosuth is one of the pioneers of conceptual art and installation art. His work is imbued with references to literature and philosophy, and consistently explores the role of language within art. For his series Mondrian’s Work I-XVI – 16 neon works the artist created between 2005 and 2015 – Kosuth approached Mondrian's paintings on a conceptual level by placing quotes taken from Piet Mondrian's writings into the colour fields of Mondrian's iconic compositions.
These new editions presented by Schellmann Art are based on the aforementioned 16 neon works. They are being released as both a series of prints on aluminum as well as a portfolio of prints on paper. Follow the link for all the artworks available from the series.
