Leiko Ikemura – Usagi Silber

Leiko Ikemura - Usagi Silber - 2025

Rabbit with a mission
"Usagi" is the Japanese word for hare or rabbit, and "Kannon" is the name given in Japanese Buddhism to a female figure dedicated to contemplation, who listens to people's complaints and represents compassion. It is no coincidence that she has her ears turned towards the heavens. For in doing so, she gathers the energy of the universe; she embodies spirituality and all-encompassing empathy.
