Marc Camille Chaimowicz - Study for a Gentleman’s Dress Scarf, 2016/2019
On the occasion of Nottingham Contemporary’s tenth Anniversary, Marc Camille Chaimowicz has created a special new artists’ edition. The edition which comes in a frame designed by the artist, is conceived as a colour-study for a silk scarf. The repeat pattern, printed in five colours, is split into two halves to imply a fold in the fabric, front and back. Each edition is printed onto a hand-applied background in a colour which recurs in the frame design - resulting in each work being slightly different.
