During a stay in Vienna in the summer of 2004, the two Japanese artists collaborated on a number of drawings and paintings in an unusual co-operative venture. Nara’s characteristic images of childlike figures in the tradition of the popular Manga comics merge with the subtle tones of Sugito’s interiors and landscapes: Zen meets Pop.
This Collector’s Edition, a ten-color lithograph, has been revised by Yoshitomo Nara and Hiroshi Sugito by hand and is thus a one-of-a-kind work. More images on request.
Medium: Ten-color lithograph, inserted in the special clothbound Collector's Edition of the book. Each lithograph is a one-of-a-kind piece reworked by the artists in crayon.
