R.H. Quaytman – The Song Cave *SOLD*

R.H. Quaytman, The Song Cave, 2012.  SOLD OUT

R.H. Quaytman, The Song Cave, 2012.R. H. Quaytman uses a variety of techniques and artistic vocabularies to explore the complex history of painting. The artist considers each body of work a new “chapter,” each structured around a specific theme or concept, a discursive network of associations developing in the work over time. The image used in this print originally appeared in a different configuration, as part of Quaytman’s 18th chapter, which reflected on Jack Spicer, a poet associated with the San Francisco Renaissance of the 1950s. “The poem begins to mirror itself,” Spicer wrote in “Ten Poems for Downbeat.”

All of their fine art editions have been generously donated to The Song Cave by the individual artists. 100% of the profits from each sale goes directly toward helping The Song Cave continue to publish and distribute the exciting and challenging work of each of their authors.
