Vivian Suter - Disco I - III - 2024
The edition "Disco" (2024) is named after the artist's beloved dog and is also the title of her current show at the MAAT in Lisbon. The edition includes three stone lithographs that were created in collaboration with the renowned printer Thomi Wolfensberger in Zurich. One sheet shows the street dog Disco and the other two sheets are based on her large-format works with circle symbols, in which she has to use her whole body to paint. Working with lithographs has a special meaning for the artist: As a young artist, she first dealt with this demanding printing process at the School of Applied Arts in Basel. She describes lithography as an art of the moment - every line on the stone is final and cannot be corrected.
