Walter Niedermayr - Monzabonale 05 Lech 2015/16 SOLD OUT
In his new series Raumaneignungen—Lech 2015/16 (Appropriating space—Lech 2015/2016), Walter Niedermayr dissects the Alpine region around Lech am Arlberg, while at the same time posing questions about the treatment of nature and landscape. The artist created a diptych of a wintry mountain panorama: Lech Monzabonalpe 05 2015. The snowy landscape nearly dissolves in the white-out of the high Alps. Niedermayr’s work depicts the sublimity of nature, while also incorporating an alienating effect, thus opening up the scene to further interpretation.
