Beautifully detailed with 24ct gold gilding, the prints are finished with different hand applied fabrics, making each one totally unique. The work relates to the culture of excess that has contributed to the current financial crisis. Shonibare has written on the relationship between money and art: 'I think that artists shouldn't follow capital - I think capital should follow art. I am not being moralistic about the relationship of money to art.
