Untitled, 2024 is a limited edition print by Glenn Ligon based on a recent series of frottage drawings. He places Kozo paper on the textured surface of one of his Stranger paintings and rubs carbon and graphite to translate the text from canvas to paper. This transference results in marks and letterforms that hover at legibility, and reflect the artist’s focus on process and experimentation, as well as his ongoing interest in asemic writing and abstraction.
