Robert Longo – Untitled (Bullet Hole in Window, January 7, 2015)

Robert Longo - Untitled (Bullet Hole in Window, January 7, 2015) - 2024
Robert Longo is widely known for his large format, highly detailed and hyper-realistic charcoal drawings that consider power, authority, racism, social unrest and myths of American society. His Untitled (Bullet Hole in Window, January 7, 2015), from 2015-16 has become a symbol for freedom of expression, depicting the bullet hole in the window of the Charlie Hebdo office in Paris after the terrorist attack.

For this special edition, rare in its low edition number and intimate format, Longo has selected a cut-out of that iconic picture. The high-quality print is presented together with the two large-format books Charcoal and Charcoal Volume 2 in a decorative slipcase designed by the artist.
