NY ART BOOK FAIR FUNDRAISING EDITIONS 2016
Printed Matter presents the eleventh annual NY Art Book Fair, from September 16 to 18, 2016, at MoMA PS1, Long Island City, Queens. Free and open to the public, the NY Art Book Fair is the world's premier event for artists’ books, catalogs, monographs, periodicals, and zines presented by 370 international presses, booksellers, antiquarians, artists, and independent publishers from at least 29 countries. Printed Matter is pleased to announce this year’s NY Art Book Fair Fundraising Editions, newly created by John Stezaker, Nathalie Du Pasquier, and Ken Kagami.
John Stezaker - Shadow - Touch - 2016
Medium: giclée and silkscreen print with spot varnish. The piece connects to a body of work exploring authenticity and theatricality through the manipulation of found images. The figure of the image - likely an actor - is delicately subtracted by cut-out though the silhouette still casts a shadow against the wall behind him.

Medium: 3-color screenprint The large-format work puts on view the artist’s deft sense of formalism through her handling of color and composition.
