Kerstin Brätsch - Fossil Psychic for Christa (Camden Art Centre Version) - 2020
Kerstin Brätsch’s edition, produced exclusively for her Camden Art Centre exhibition Fossil Psychic for Christa, relates to a new series in which she tests the limits of a traditional technique - Stucco Marmo - using plaster and pigment to imitate marble and other rare stones. Two of her works in the exhibition are from this series which at times is expressed as an ‘image-corpus’, or body-image, and at others, takes the form of symbols, or a language, seemingly related to Internet vernacular and emojis.
