About
PAIN (Prescription Addiction Intervention Now) was first organized by Nan Goldin in 2018 as a means to address the opioid overdose crisis. We are artists, activists, and people dealing with addiction who employ direct action as a platform for our demands. We target the Sackler family, who manufactured and pushed Oxycontin, through museums and universities that carry their name. We hope to speak for the 500,000 people who no longer can.
