The monumental new sculpture by Tom Sachs examines the links between slavery (control of the body) and advertising (control of the mind). For the 12th Lyon Biennale - 12 September 2013 – 5 January 2014 - curators Gunnar B. Kvaran and Thierry Raspail have selected artists who use their work to experiment with the modalities and mechanisms of storytelling and, in doing so, undo mainstream narrative codes in order to tell stories differently.
