Monchehaus has made this partial edition of 10 works (from the initial edition of 100) available for the "50 Years of the Kaiserring" anniversary.
"Olafur Eliasson's 10-meter-long Cable for All Colors, designed in 2004, is a woven representation of the electrical energy and light that characterize the artist's work. Olafur Eliasson transformed a household extension cord by interweaving purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red cotton threads on the outside of the cord, with each color representing a color of the visible light spectrum. Similar to his "Little Sun" project, Eliasson uses the abstract concepts of energy and light to create a functional yet playful object."
