Jeff Koons' Cracked Eggs were produced and presented as the exclusive invitation for the opening of the Broad Contemporary Art Museum (BCAM) at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art (LACMA). For the gala, the LACMA sent out these miniature models of Koons' monumental Cracked Egg (Red) sculpture (1994-2006), which is a scale model of a monumental version now in the Broad Art Collection and on display at LACMA. The large egg is part of Koons' "Celebration " series, which is famous for his iconic Balloon Dog.
