Richard Artschwager – TWMDRB *EXPIRED*

Richard Artschwager, TWMDRB, 2003.   EXPIRED

Richard Artschwager, TWMDRB, 2003 For six weeks, each Friday, The Deutsche Guggenheim is presenting you one of their limited editions as a special offer. These editions can be ordered for a special price until February 17, 2013. This as a -as they say- “Thank you for 15 years companionship”. What a great gesture! This is their 3rd special priced edition in the series of six.

His works present the extraordinary dimensions of our world from ever new perspectives. Meticulously planned, often mingling irony and scepticism, they confront us with objects seen at unfamiliar distances. In his TWMDRB series, for instance, Richard Artschwager combines a table, window, mirror, door, rug and basket in continually new variations, recording them from a range of different perspectives.

The American artist has taken up this theme for the Deutsche Guggenheim's exclusive Edition No. 23. The etching, which is being printed by the New York Harlan & Weaver press, is appearing in a limited edition of 100 copies, signed by the artist, to mark the exhibition of Artschwager's work at the Deutsche Guggenheim: "Up and Down / Back and Forth, Richard Artschwager - Deutsche Bank Collection", from May 10 to July 6, 2003.
