Impacted by Chicago-style figuration, Christian’s cartoon characters are uncanny and familiar, often conveying ominous messages. Finding inspiration in vintage political cartoons and hand-drawn animation, the artist creates absurd and often personal narratives that reflect on a complicated contemporary existence.
