Zhang Huan’s provocative practice has seen him become one of the most influential Chinese artists of a generation. HIs debut collaboration with Avant Arte, Amitabha, presents a rare opportunity for collectors to access his work.
The cast copper edition of 40 reprises the form of Huan’s seminal 2006 work, Buddha Hand — a monumental sculpture standing 4.5 metres tall, also made in copper.
The sculpture’s base allows the hand above to be rotated 360 degrees, and is engraved on its underside with the edition number and artist’s signature.
