Olafur Eliasson, Global warning 2013. SOLD
Olafur Eliasson has used elemental materials such as light, water and air temperature throughout his career. Known for his sculpture and installation art, Eliasson's works frequently create immersive experiences for the viewer, simulating meteorological or geological events on a large scale. By introducing ‘natural’ phenomena, such as water, mist or light, into an ‘un-natural’ man-made setting, Eliasson encourages the viewer to reflect upon their understanding and perception of the physical world that surrounds them.
For his Limited Edition, he has created a series of twelve unique sculptures. Entitled Global warning, each incorporate sheets of lacquered glass, balanced on top of a piece of drift-wood.
